Kellyanne and George Conway Announce Divorce After Political Disagreements
Former White House aide to Donald Trump, Kellyanne Conway, has announced her divorce from husband George Conway.
While Kellyanne worked as an aide to Trump throughout his presidency and has remained close to the former president, George quickly became one of his fiercest critics after Trump fired FBI Director James Comey.
Their political disagreements often made headlines, with Kellyanne often deflecting journalists’ questions about her husband’s comments.
Trump praised Kellyanne for her divorce on his Truth Social platform, calling her now-former husband a “disgusting albatross.”
The Conways wrote in their statement that they were in the final stages of an amicable divorce and asked for privacy.
Kellyanne has since worked as a contributor to Fox News, while George serves as a contributing columnist to the Washington Post. After the announcement, George took to Twitter to criticize Trump, stating that he believes it is highly likely that Trump will be indicted in the next 18 months, released on bail, and win the GOP presidential nomination, fomenting violence in the United States.
