Kaizer Chiefs suffer injury setback as Phathutshedzo Nange sidelined once again
Injury Woes
Kaizer Chiefs have been dealt another injury blow as midfielder Phathutshedzo Nange has suffered an injury setback, forcing him out of the team once again.

Coach’s Revelation
Team coach Arthur Zwane revealed that the 31-year-old midfielder won’t be able to feature in the upcoming matches, as he is still recovering from his latest injury.

Injury History
This season, Nange has been in and out of the team, managing only four league appearances and two cup games, due to the poor injury record that has kept him away from the field for the last one-and-a-half seasons. He missed 13 games this term after not being available for five across all competitions in 2021-22.

The Club’s Current Status
The injury setback has added to Chiefs’ current woes, as other players including Cole Alexander, Reeve Frosler, and Khama Billiat are already on the injury list. The inconsistent starting XI has been a result of these injuries, along with issues in attack and defense.
Coach’s Take
Zwane stated, “It is one of those things where you don’t have everyone available, and we will carry on with the guys at hand until everyone else is fit and ready.”
The Way Forward
The Glamour Boys are currently fighting for second place in the table with four other teams, but they cannot afford to drop more points, with eight games remaining. They will look to extend their winning streak to four games in all competitions, as they face Maritzburg United in the late kick-off on Saturday.
