Warsaw, Poland — Kacper Tobiasz, the goalkeeper for Legia Warszawa, go make history as he prepare to play his 100th match for the club when dem face Pogoń Szczecin on May 2, 2025.
As of now, Tobiasz don play 99 matches for Legia, with 73 of those for Ekstraklasa, the top Polish football league. The upcoming match for the Polish Cup go not only showcase his milestone but also be a chance for Legia to grab one more trophy and qualify for European competitions.
Tobiasz, who start his senior career for Legia after joining from SEMP Ursynów in 2019, na groundbreaker from day one, running through the Central Junior League and III league reserves before making his first-team debut in July 2021. He first appear in a senior match against Wisła Płock, where he help secure a 1-0 victory.
Since then, the young goalkeeper don show skillful performances, keeping 34 clean sheets in 99 matches, plus winning the Polish Cup and the SuperCup in 2023, and leading the team to the quarter-finals of the UEFA Europa Conference League this year.
In a recent interview with TVP Sport, Kacper express his feelings about achieving this milestone. “It be great honor and something I never take for granted,” he talk. “It rare to play 100 matches for Legia before you even reach 23 years old. E dey push me forward, and the dream no stop here.”
The goalie also go on to emphasize the importance of the final against Pogoń Szczecin. “This na final, and it means a lot for all of us.
