Lagos, Nigeria – Former lawmaker Jude Idimogu don come out sharply to beg President Bola Tinubu make him use him power give clemency to Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB). Idimogu yarn this one during him press conference wey happen on Sunday. According to am, e no care who dey right or wrong, wetin him dey reason be say, if Tinubu fit release Kanu, e go fit bring plenty peace wey everybody don dey pray for. “Na for the law-abiding citizens wey dey suffer this tension wey you fit find k-leg. No individual or group fit fight government. Na true”, him add.
As him dey talk, e still point out say, “If this Kanu guy fit come out, e go make Igbo people happy, and at the same time give Tinubu more points for him plan for 2027 elections. My guy, if you sabi politics, you go understand say na win-win situation dis be!”
For those wey no sabi how di matter dey go, Nnamdi Kanu dey face trial since 2021 after dem arrest am for Nairobi, Kenya. Idimogu no wan make Kanu just dey shelled for prison while people dey use him name cause kata-kata for the region. E talk say, “Miscreants dey use Kanu’s name do bad things. If him dey free, bad guys no go get chance to blow things out of proportion.”
Idimogu, wey be deputy leader of Ndigbo for Lagos APC, still urge all the well-meaning Nigerians make dem join force to appeal to Tinubu. “We no wan just Igbo people talk am, make every tribe, from South to North, South-West all of una join us beg the President please! Make we look how we fit carry ourselves go higher levels”, him yan.
Him believe say if Kanu fit waka out, e go help reduce di insecurity wey don turn South-East to battlefield. “We dey believe say with Kanu release, economy go begin smile again. An average Igbo person na trader. Make am happen; businesses wey don dey nkwu for long go bounce back again!”
Idimogu stand strong say, “Abeg Mr. President, we sabi you be father figure with big heart. Help us revive the South-East, make Kanu come out make we no dey fear again. We go surely remember you for this one as we dey eye 2027.”
