Jana Kramer Gets Engaged to Scottish Soccer Coach Boyfriend Allan Russell

After six-and-a-half months of dating, Jana Kramer is officially engaged to her boyfriend, Allan Russell. The country singer, who admitted to being apprehensive about getting engaged again, announced the good news on her Whine Down podcast on May 25th.

During the podcast episode, Kramer shared that Russell’s proposal was simple and sweet: they went for a walk with her two children, Jolie and Jace, and ended up at their new house, currently under construction. After the kids ran around and picked out their future rooms, they all gathered on the front porch, where Russell got down on one knee and asked Kramer to marry him.

“It was a really beautiful night, and we were all sitting on the front porch steps and looking out at the view,” Kramer recalls. “He said my name, and I got up, and then he got down on one knee.”

Kramer’s daughter Jolie immediately knew what was happening and started jumping up and down with excitement. “It was the cutest thing ever,” Kramer remembers.

The singer, who recently finalized her divorce from Mike Caussin in April 2021, says that she “knows [Russell] is [her] person.” Russell, a former professional soccer player who now coaches for the Norwich City Football Club in England, made his first public appearance with Kramer at the iHeartRadio Awards in March.

Despite her initial hesitation to get engaged again, Kramer seems overjoyed to be taking this next step with Russell. “It felt very sentimental, [happening on] the front porch of the new house. New beginnings,” she says. “It just felt right.”
