J. Cole Flips Dr. Dre Sample on “Adonis Interlude” for “Creed III” Soundtrack
J. Cole has released a new track titled “Adonis Interlude (The Montage),” featuring a sample of Dr. Dre’s “The Watcher” beat from his 2001 album.
In the song, Cole references his upcoming album, The Fall Off, hinting that it could be his last project.
The track is part of the Dreamville-curated soundtrack for Creed III, which includes 18 tracks from various artists such as J.I.D, EarthGang, and Bas. The movie, starring Michael B.
Jordan, Tessa Thompson, and Jonathan Majors, hit theaters on Friday, marking Jordan’s directorial debut.
Before Dreamville, Mike WiLL Made-It executive produced the soundtrack for Creed II.
