People wey sabi say Confederation of African Football (CAF) na dem dey arrange hotel for all the countries wey dey participate. But as e be, each country fit raise concern or demand better place if dem no like wetin dem see. (And frankly, no be every hotel go fit carry Super Eagles o! Na Nigeria we dey talk about here!)
E no be the first time Nigerian players dey complain about their lodgings, sha. Earlier this year, Super Falcons captain, Rasheedat Ajibade, don shout about the rooms CAF give dem during Women’s Africa Cup of Nations wey happen for Morocco. Na wah!
As our Super Eagles prepare to face Gabon on November 13, all eyes dey on wetin go happen for this play-off. Last-last, we fit secure our berth for the 2026 World Cup. But as at this morning, both CAF and the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) never respond to Iwobi video. I guess dem dey busy with something else?
In the viral video wey Iwobi post, e show the hotel wey dey look like mini-ghetto. E stand for one side as the camera dey do waka around to show everywhere. And trust Nigerian fans, dem no dey hold back! Social media don scatter with all kind of comments. Na so dis video turn hot topic for Twitter, as fans dey express their frustration for how players dey treated.
One fan even ask, “Wetin be dis nonsense? How dem go put our big players for such kind hotel? Na who dem wan deceive?”
Even the criticism no get chill. Another person don tell NFF say, “Them no value our players at all! Wetin be dis kind accommodation for apapa like our national team?” (See this one wey don turn cry for all side!).
Some fans dey praise Iwobi for opening mouth, while others dey say make everybody focus on the game, no let hotel wahala distract dem. E be like this matter go last till after match o!
Nigeria dey on the spot now as dem prepare for this must-win clash. If dem fit no use cheap hotel make dem underperform, then hope dey for a great match. Wetin you think? E be like say we need to gather our national team for better place if we wan win this match. No be so?
