yle=”font-weight: 400″>On Friday in Abuja, President Muhammadu Buhari met behind closed doors with Igbo leaders led by Mbazulike Amaechi at the Presidential Villa Abuja.
Igbo leaders who attended the meeting included Bishop Sunday Onuoha, former Governor Chukwuemeka Ezeife, Tagbo Amaechi and Chief Goddy Uwazurike.
The President’s Chief of Staff, Professor Ibrahim Gambari, the President’s National Security Advisor, Babagana Monguno, the Minister of Science and Technology, Dr Ogbonnaya Onu and the Minister of Labor and Employment, Chris Ngige , also attended the meeting.
NAN reports that the agenda of the meeting, which lasted no less than an hour, was not known to journalists.
Meeting participants did not speak to the press about the outcome of their engagement with the president.
NAN, however, has gathered from a reliable source that the meeting may have discussed some national issues, including security and socio-economic developments in the south-eastern area of the country.
