INEC Removes APC’s Alhassan Doguwa from Winners Lists Due to Violence
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has excluded the name of Alhassan Ado Doguwa, the leader of the House of Representatives, from the list of winners of the February 25th election in Doguwa/Tudunwada constituency in Kano state.

Doguwa was accused of being involved in the killing of some individuals and burning of a party office in his constituency.

INEC did not provide an official reason for this decision.

However, several commission officials disapproved of the way the election unfolded and the final results.
Doguwa was arrested after the collation exercise for his alleged involvement in the violence.
He was admitted to a 500 million bail by the Federal High Court in Kano and barred from his constituency during the gubernatorial and state assembly elections.
Doguwa has been accused of being a violent legislator.
He was seen in a viral video threatening his constituents to vote for the All Progressives Congress or face punishment.
Additionally, he was accused of invading the party’s meeting and physically assaulting an individual with a teacup.
