The choir, wey don dey sing since way back, carry everybody waka enter the festive mood with blend of classical and modern sounds. Dem dey groove with tunes like ‘Chup Hai Chanda’ and ‘Janma Masiha’. Na serious enjoyment o!” (Paddy no fit help but nod his head for the rhythm).
Proud family members gather here and there, enjoying the relaxed vibe while the choristers shine for the stage in their black and white outfits, men sharp like razor with red ties and women styling in their fine sarees. E be like fashion show wey get special Christmas flavor.
One NRI guy, Professor Jaffrey Khan wey fly in from Dallas, share him own vibe: “Dis kind concert for America dey ticketed, so e sweet for me to see this one free. Remind me of my own childhood vibes back here.” E even mention say the way dem set stage dey para with international standards. No be joke o!”
As dem chop melody, some people wey dey represent the joy of the season, like former IPS officer Aruna Bahuguna, come drop comment, say dem dey work hard to mix Western and Indian sounds. “We just wan give our best performance for everybody wey come check us every year.” (Like say dem go take this performance collect award)n
