Harrison Ford Jokes about His Shirtless Scene in the New Indiana Jones Film

Harrison Ford had attendees at the Cannes Film Festival’s press conference in stitches after his response to admiration for his shirtless scene in the new Indiana Jones film, Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny. The 80-year-old actor, who is reprising his role as the whip-cracking archaeologist for the last time, received praise for his physique in the scene where he is pictured sleeping in his New York apartment, wearing nothing but boxer shorts.

During the conference, a journalist praised the Star Wars actor for still possessing his charm and how “very hot” he looked in the scene, and asked how he managed to stay in shape at his age. Ford replied, jokingly, “Look, I have been blessed with this body — thanks for noticing.” He also made jokes after being prompted by the director, James Mangold, to respond to co-star Mads Mikkelsen’s “Olympian story” about Ford’s fitness regime.

While the conference drew admiration for the film’s use of de-aging technology to make Ford look younger, he confirmed that the technology wouldn’t feature in any more Indiana Jones movies once he leaves the franchise.

Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny will be released in UK cinemas on June 28.
