Hamilton Fears Mercedes is Worse Than Last Year and on the Wrong Path
Lewis Hamilton and George Russell had a difficult start to the Bahrain Grand Prix with Hamilton ending up in 10th place in the second practice session.

Hamilton admitted to being concerned about the performance of Mercedes, revealing that they were a long way off pace-setters Red Bull and Aston Martin.

He believes that Mercedes is losing time to rivals in both high and low-speed corners and Red Bull’s race pace put it one second per lap ahead.

Hamilton feared that Mercedes was on the wrong path last year, but things have not improved for the team this year.
He did not think they could close the gap of a second at Bahrain and emphasized that they were just between third and fourth place.
However, Hamilton believed that they could close the gap in the future.
