ATLANTA, Ga. – Na Saturday night, one man fall victim for gunshot matter wey happen for northwest Atlanta. Dem say na 11:24 p.m. as police waka enter Westmoor Dr. NW, dem meet 27-year-old guy wey don collect bullet. Na so dem rush am go hospital, but unfortunately, he no survive, as police talk say he succumb to him injuries.
For now, nobody sabi wetin cause the shooting and no suspect don show face yet. Police dey carry investigation waka as dem try find out wetin really happen. (E be like say wahala dey everywhere for this town, no be small).
Fast forward seven years ago, na another man, Deonta Wallace, wey dem shoot on July 12, 2018, still dey make news. Him papa, Victor, and mama, Veronica, dey use all their energy dey shout for justice as dem still dey search for Deonta’s killer – wey still dey run free like sprinter.
As police dey try solve this case, dem don notice say people dey fear to talk. “Community silence dey slow progress for this case,” one of the APD investigator talk during canvass wey dem do for the same apartment where the shooting happen. Wetin we go fit do now? (Na only God go fit help us if people no fit gather courage to yak).
Victor no fit hold him feeling back, him dey vex about how dem take kill im son wey think say dem guys na him friends. “My son’s life was taken by guys he thought were friends. He was robbed and murdered,” he talk. Veronica, wey dey feel the pain sharp-ly, even beg say she want justice before she go meet im son for heaven. “Before I leave this world, I want whoever took the life of my son to be caught,” she add.
As matter don dey hot again, dem dey try make people wake up, time don reach for anybody wey know something to talk, because dis matter don far pass joke. “Speak up and say something,” Veronica dey urge. “You know who you are. The people around here know who you are.”
Police talk any tip wey person fit give fit remain anonymous, plus e fit land you small cash for reward of up to $5,000. Na so we dey go sharp sharp, if dem fit just make phone call, dem go reason am and solve this wahala.
As investigation dey continue for both cases, one thing wey dey clear be say wahala no dey finish. Dem don dey beg people to work together, make everybody gree say something, because sometimes, na just one small lead fit change everything. Who e go be?
