Gunmen Attack Oko Community, Four Lives Cut Short for No Reason

Oko, Anambra State – Late yesterday night, wahala no wan gree finish as unidentified gunmen stormed Oko community near Federal Polytechnic, Oko. E be like say dem carry bad news come, as dem take four lives of persons wey dem suspect say na students, and injure about seven others. Na so di community turn to war zone.

The motive wey di ninjas behind the attack get? Nobody sabi. Some paddy wey dey around suspect say na cult-related matter. E no even reach for dem to give warning; dem just start to release bullets like say na party.

Confirm from eyewitness, di one wey see everything happen, say, “Di incident happen late yesterday. Di armed men just come near di polytechnic and begin shoot without any reason. Four people fall down immediately, and seven get serious injuries. Dem dey treat dem for local hospitals now.” Organizing for safety wasn’t on the agenda as every body just dey run scatter.

Eyewitness don dey drop videos wey show two victims – one guy and one babe – dey lie down for pool of blood, struggling for breath. Na serious matter! Di police still try to cover di story, confirm say dem get two casualties only. Chai!

Di Anambra State Police Command spokesman, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, don release statement on di matter. He talk say police motive no be play. Dem don deploy operatives wey include di Aguata Area Commander and support from di Army, Navy, Civil Defence, and even Vigilante. Di whole squad don dey chase after di guys wey cause di chaos, as dem begin dey investigate di matter.

Ikenga talk say, “By 8:40 pm on June 19, 2025, police operatives don take over di scene at Total Junction and Tipper Junction for Oko. We don rescue two victims, but sad news, two persons don die, and two people don waka away with di hoodlums.” Di police still dey beg for calm as dem dey act on clues from paddy people wey witness di shooting.

Di situation no wan stay calm at all, as di community dey fear. Hoo! Na war di place don turn. Na all dis palaver go fit make students and di community dey consider whether to continue schooling or no. Wetin be dis?

Dis kind attack no be new for Anambra, but di frequency dey rise. Last month alone, dem track 635 deaths across Nigeria due to different wahala. Dis one dey add more log to di fire, as dem still record 182 kidnappings. Na wetin dem call tough time for ordinary Nigerians. As dem say, “Na dem wey dey suffer am, no be di big men.”
