Greek authorities have detained a 27-year-old Syrian national on suspicion of membership in the Islamic State terrorist group, police said on Thursday.
Before his arrest, the man lived in the Eleonas refugee camp with his wife and five children.
Incriminating digital evidence was confiscated at the camp, where the detention took place.
Greek media posted a video showing a person who appears to be the suspected terrorist abusing Shiites in 2013.
Greek police said the man came to Greece in 2018 and submitted a bid for asylum.
He then moved to another European country, but it was unclear which one.
