Alhaji Umar Kukuri, Yobe chairman of Inter Party Advisory Council (IPAC), said the policies, programmes and projects of the Gov. Mai Mala Buni of Yobe accommodated opposition parties.
Kukuri stated this in an interview with Nigeria News Agency on Wednesday in Damaturu, saying “the manifestos of the opposition political parties are being aptly captured by the All Progressives Congress (APC) administration.”
He said: “We feel highly accommodated with the implementation of laudable projects and programmes of the state government which are centered on provision of quality education, agricultural and infrastructural development and economic growth.
“We are in politics to improve the lives of our people and the Buni administration is exactly doing this. We, the opposition, will continue to support the state government to improve the lives of our people,” Kukuri said.
The chairman assured the people that opposition parties would work towards promoting peace and security, resettlement, rehabilitation and economic growth of the state.
Kukuri appealed to the governor to consider capable hands even when they did not belong to the ruling APC.
“Members of all political parties who have the capacity and share the same vision and mission with the administration can be considered to contribute their quota to the development of the state,” he said.
The chairman appealed to the Federal Government, corporate and international organisations and people of the state to support government in its resettlement, rehabilitation and reconstruction programmes.
