Georgia, Michigan, TCU and Ohio State reach 2022 College Football Playoff

The top four teams from the 2022 College Football Playoffs standings are set with No. 1 Georgia, No. 2 Michigan, No. 3 TCU, and No. 4 Ohio State making the playoff.

Before we dive into the new CFP top 25, here’s the list of the new rankings:

Ohio State
Ohio State is the only new entrant in the top four of the final standings for the college football playoffs. The Buckeyes didn’t play during the conference championship weekend, but they did take the field thanks to an 11-1 record. Only four teams have one loss or fewer, and Ohio State is one of those teams.
Southern California
The Buckeyes replace Southern California in the top four after the Trojans lost in the Pac-12 championship game.

Alabama and Tennessee miss the field
College Football Playoffs
The first two teams to come off the field of the 2022 College Football Playoffs are No. 5 Alabama and No. 6 Tennessee. The two SEC teams rank fifth and sixth as the highest-ranked two-loss teams. Tennessee remains behind Alabama despite a head-to-head victory.
