The OSMA boss promised to join hands with members of the Organisation to lift the standard of the continent’s military sports body.

He also pledged to take military sports to enviable standards in the continent and across the globe.

“I will introduce bilateral sports where neighbouring countries will come together to participate in such military sports activities that will unite them and enhance their relations.

`I will revive some popular sports which had faded off such as the confederation of African military football championships inaugurated by former president of Burkina Faso.

“I will make sure that it comes back and features regularly. We also have African Military Boxing Championship.

“There is also a trophy and championship introduced by President Olusegun Obasanjo, I will make sure that they are all brought back into the continent’s military sports,” he said.

Abdullahi also promised to introduce an E-library that would enhance research and other relevant activities for the promotion of sporting activities in the military.

He said the E-library, to be domiciled at OSMA headquarters in Yaoundé, would be dedicated to the Chief of Defence Staff, Gen. Abayomi Olonisakin.
