Gavin Lux’ Devastating ACL Injury
Gavin Lux’ Devastating ACL Injury} The Los Angeles Dodgers infielder Gavin Lux will miss the entire 2023 season after suffering a torn ACL in his right knee.

Manager Dave Roberts shared the news and expressed his sadness, as the team had been counting on Lux to be their starting shortstop this year.

Lux himself said he felt something pop in his leg, with his cleat getting stuck in the ground.

He then tried to duck out of the way of the throw before his right knee buckled and felt numb.
Surgery is scheduled for March 7.
Veteran Miguel Rojas and Chris Taylor are the potential candidates to fill Lux’s position.
Despite feeling sorry for the 25-year-old, Rojas said he’s prepared to take up a larger role, while Lux is determined to fight his way back and be ready to return in 2024.
Having played 129 games last season and leading the National League with seven triples and six homers, Lux had a career-best .276 batting average as well as 42 RBIs. Cruel as his injury may be, the Dodgers hope for a speedy recovery for their beloved player.
