No be small gbege dey happen for Adamawa State as flood wahala don carry more people enter early grave. As of Tuesday noon, death toll don waka from 23 to 25, na Dr. Celine Laori, wey be executive secretary of Adamawa State Emergency Management Agency (ADSEMA), talk am.
Dr. Laori, wey also be permanent secretary of Ministry of Health, no fit hide her concern as she dey lead rescue operations for areas wey suffer pass. She talk, “We still dey find those wey miss since flood start, hope still dey for their family members.” (E be like say dem need big prayers o!)
She don turn IDP (Internally Displaced Person) herself, as she dey spend her day and night for camp to make sure say everything dey okay. “Health of the IDPs dey important to government, so I gatz monitor everywhere well well,” she yarn.
For Namtari IDP camp, dem don join am with Yelewa primary school camp to make management easy. Relief materials don land from National Emergency Management Agency and UNICEF, to support those wey wey suffer for this flood.
“Governor Ahmadu Fintiri don dey serious. He release ₦700 million to ADSEMA to buy materials ahead of flooding season,” Dr. Laori continue. “We dey pick relief materials from warehouse without stress because the governor don prepare for any wahala.” (Na real sense he dey show, abi?)
Dr. Laori also talk say state government dey arrange money matter for IDPs so dem fit go back home to start fresh life. That one go sweet no be small, as wetin we need now na hope and recovery.
