Na for World AIDS Day 2025, she drop this important message for her X handle, wey the theme be “Overcoming Disruptions; Transforming the AIDS Response.” (Big shoutout for her responsibility as First Lady, she no dey slack!)
Mama Tinubu talk say this annual commemoration na chance to remind us say we need to revamp our efforts wey dey aimed at ending HIV/AIDS for Nigeria. She also talk say Nigeria don show small-small progress for HIV prevention, treatment, and care over the years. (But no be say we don land, we still get long way to go, my padi!)
“Over the years, Nigeria don make remarkable progress in HIV prevention, treatment, and care, but our journey towards an AIDS-free nation continue,” she clarify, as she remind us say every Nigerian suppose get access to life-saving services without stigma and discrimination. (Abeg, make we no dey shame any person, we gatz to support each other!)
She no dey forget to ginger our youth! She dey urge dem to take charge of their health, sabi their HIV status, and seek treatment if dem test positive. She talk say, “To our youth, take charge of your health, know your HIV status by getting tested, and look for treatment if you dey positive.” (Na so reality be o, no be small matter!)
