FDI: Bello attracts foreign investors to Niger at Africa forum

As part of its aggressive foreign direct investment (FDI) campaign, the administration of Governor Abubakar Bello of Niger engaged investors at an Africa forum in London.

The governor invited investors willing to partner with the state in so many areas that would engender rapid growth and development for the overall benefit of residents.

Bello, at the UNLOCK AFRICA Program Investor Meetings in London, had fruitful discussions with several development partners and investors in agriculture, education, infrastructure, energy, mining and tourism, among others.

In a statement by Mary Noel-Berje, his chief press secretary, the governor acknowledged that the partnership was important in making Africa, and the state of Niger in particular, an open business environment for British investors. .

He stressed that the state is a prime destination for global trade and investment opportunities according to its potential.

He argued that the state has the potential to be the main supplier of agricultural commodities for factories.

Bello, however, said there was a need to add value to raw materials available in the state through partnering with investors in order to increase internally generated revenue and create jobs in the state. .

Investors in turn said they were ready to partner with the government if they had an environment conducive to prosperity, such as improving security challenges.

Some of the companies met by the Governor include ACM group for project finance, Aspuna group for agro sector, UCL Energy Group Ltd for infrastructure, Katzenber Ltd for project finance structure and Eagle Scientific Ltd for education. .

The governor was accompanied by his commissioners for justice and state attorney general, Danmallam Nasara, Zakari Abubakar member and chairman of the House committee on Fice and the chief of staff, Alhaji Ibrahim Balarabe.
