FCCPC Don Seal France, Belgium, Italy Visa Centres for Wahala

Abuja, Nigeria – E be like say wahala don burst as Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC) don seal off visa centres wey dey serve France, Belgium, and Italy, wey dey for Mukhtar El-Yakub House, Central Business District for Abuja. Dis closure no be small matter o, and e happen on Thursday, 19th of June, 2025. Na FCCPC operatives, police and Civil Defence Corps join forces to do the sealing, while the centre staff no even gree allow dem enter (dem fit think say na joke we dey play, but na serious matter be dis).

According to Mrs. Boladale Adeyinka, wey be Director for Surveillance and Investigations for FCCPC, di sealing happen because di visa centre no collect letter from di commission wey go make dem investigate one consumer complaint wey don land (abi na dem be the first to dey gist about customer wahala?) She talk say di centre also dey obstruct investigation wey dey go on, plus dem dey run services wey fit harm consumers. Chai, na serious gbege!

Adeyinka gather say dem don serve TLS, di company wey dey manage di visa centre, with letter since March 25, 2025, about di wahala wey dey. But instead of dem to collect letter and make peace, dem go carry fight come as dem vex for di officers wey try to carry out dem lawful duty. Na wetin make matter escalate, as TLS staff decide say dem go “show pepper” instead of addressing di complaint (some people no sabi say peace dey sweet pass war!).

Fast forward to June 17, di officers of TLS don try am again as dem no just only assault di FCCPC officers but dem also vex on di police wey dey stand guard for di operation! Mrs. Adeyinka no carry matter play as she remind dem sey Section 33 of di FCCPA dey very clear. If you refuse to show face when dem summon you, you fit chop up to three years imprisonment or fine reach ₦20 million or both. No be small fish!

Di company don dey ask make dem appear for June 20 to come clear di air and provide evidence about wetin happen, and according to di regulation, dem go dey responsible for all di losses wey visa applicants go face because of dis closure. Na so dem sabi turn di whole situation sef – to collect wahala and serve am hot! As e stand now, plenty applicants wey dey depend on dat visa centre go feel di impact of dis sealing. Na wah!

Adeyinka make am clear say dem go hold TLS accountable for di wahala wey customer go face as a result of dis enforcement action. But di management of di centre, dem no even wan talk as dem still dey silent about di issue (na so e dey when you no want to face di music!).

So my people, this one na serious gist wey no fit fall for ground. If you dey plan to travel via France, Belgium, or Italy, better don dey check your options sharp sharp, before wahala catch you for junction!
