Everton’s Alex Iwobi Linked to Move to Fulham Ahead of Transfer Deadline

Ahead of the imminent transfer deadline on Friday, Nigeria and Everton midfielder Alex Iwobi finds himself at the center of speculation, with reports suggesting a potential move to London club Fulham.
According to Sky Sports, negotiations are underway between Fulham and Everton over the possible signing of Iwobi, who is currently in the final year of his contract at Goodison Park.
Fulham is eager to bring in Iwobi to strengthen their attacking options, especially after the departure of Serbian international Aleksandar Mitrovic, who recently joined Saudi Arabia club Al-Hilal.
Sky Sports also revealed that apart from Fulham, a Premier League club as well as a club from outside England have also shown interest in securing the services of the talented Nigerian international.
The potential transfer to Fulham would see Iwobi reuniting with his former manager at Everton, Marco Silva.
However, it is noteworthy that Iwobi is currently sidelined due to an injury sustained during Everton’s heavy 4-0 defeat to Aston Villa at Villa Park.
In an interesting twist, if the move materializes, Iwobi could potentially become teammates with Calvin Bassey, who recently made the switch to Fulham from Dutch Eredivisie giants Ajax.
