The YPFDJ organization in Europe held its 16th conference from April 14 to 18 in Rome under the theme “Pan-African Liberation and Purposeful Leadership”.
At the conference attended by more than 300 young people from Eritrea, Europe, the US, Canada, Australia and Africa, as well as representatives of Eritrean communities and national associations, the Eritrean Ambassador to Italy, Mr. Fesehatsion Petros and Mr. Michael Teferi, head of the PFDJ in the Diaspora, praising the role of the YPFDJ in national affairs, called for strengthening organizational capacity and unity for better results.
In his virtual message, Mr. Yemane Gebreab, head of Political Affairs of the PFDJ, explaining the appropriate indicators and objectives to carry out effective resilience programs, expressed the expectation that the YPFDJ conference will carry out an extensive discussion and come out with a common understanding and tangible programs for the effective implementation of the established programs.
Representatives of the organization from various countries also presented activity reports regarding the achievements registered and the challenges encountered.
Research papers focused on pan-African liberation and the role of YPFDJ, diplomatic activities in the African Union and the role of YPFDJ, understanding of the Horn of Africa and the guarantee of peace, the fight against hegemonism, and the role of YPFDJ were presented at the conference. and libel, the role of generations in building nations as well as Heritage of the ancient Adulis and Eritrea.
The participants held extensive discussions and adopted a number of recommendations and resolutions.
The occasion was highlighted by cultural programs representing the historical resilience of the people of Eritrea.
