The traditional leader of Dutse Boupma of the Bwari Regional Council, FCT, Mr. Haruna Gyandawye, called on the residents of the community to embrace peace and support their leaders.

He said it would promote peaceful coexistence and development in the country.

Gyandawye made the appeal in his speech at the coronation ceremony of Grand Chief Randy Asekomhe as Olunevho “1” of Edo, held on Saturday evening in Bwari.

The event was organized by Edo Forum, a socio-cultural group based in Abuja.

The Nigerian News Agency (NAN) reports that the title: Olunevho “1” from Edo State, bestowed on Asekomhe was based on his contribution to the development of the community.

He urged residents to always seek the advice of their traditional leaders or relevant security personnel in the community, regarding any quarrels or misunderstandings with others for a speedy and amicable resolution.

“Tell your leaders what’s wrong and ask questions where there is a need for clarity, rather than taking control of the laws.

“Working closely with your traditional leaders and community security personnel will help ensure lasting peace and progress reign supreme there,” said the traditional leader.

Asekomhe, who is an architect by profession, expressed his gratitude to the traditional chief, saying his position will promote unity between the Edo people and the Bwari community in the CTF.

“This crowning will bring unity, peace and progress not only between the Edo people and the Gbagy tribe in Bwari, but the whole community.

“There are approximately 4,000 indigenous residents of Edo living in this community, which mainly include young people; Hopefully the coronation will further deepen ties between the people of Edo and Bwari, ”he later told NAN.

He promised to set up a skills training program, such as computer training, agriculture, bead making and sewing for the young people in the community, to enable them to become more independent on the job. economic plan.
