Ekiti traditional ruler promises homely welcome of corps members

The traditional ruler of Emure-Ekiti, Oba Adebowale Adebayo, the Elemure of Emure-Ekiti, says it will be a homely welcome for the Batch C corps members that will be posted to Ekiti.

Adebayo gave the assurance on Wednesday, when the Ekiti Coordinator of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Mrs Mary Chikezie, led a delegation of the NYSC management to his palace in Emure-Ekiti.

The traditional ruler promised adequate security for the NYSC scheme, particularly now that the camp will open for orientation course.

Oba Adebayo said, “I want to assure you that I will liaise with the traditional rulers in the this region and partner with the local vigilantes to provide adequate security for corp members; who will be observing their three-week orientation camp.
He said the door to his palace will remain wide open at all times for the management of NYSC scheme, whenever the need arises.

Earlier, the Ekiti Coordinator of the NYSC, Mrs Mary Chikezie, had solicited the cooperation of the traditional ruler in the area of security for corps members that will commence their orientation course soon.
She appreciated the traditional ruler for his unflinching supports to the NYSC scheme, especially his love for corps member serving in his domain.

She described Oba Adebayo as a dependable pillar, whose support had created cordial relationship between the host community and the NYSC.
