EFCC Don Catch Metrodigital Workers For Illegal DStv Wahala!

Port Harcourt, Rivers State – E be like say wahala don land for Metrodigital Television Ltd, wey dey run SLTV, as EFCC operatives don arrest two of their employees for illegal rebroadcasting of DStv and GOtv contents. Na this heavy operation happen on Thursday, when Justice Adamu Mihammed from Federal High Court gree say make dem take possession of all di sisi wey dey connect to dis piracy matter.

The raid waka go down for No. 12 Order Street, Rumuola, Stadium Link Road, GRA Phase IV. EFCC people don seize broadcasting machines, decoders, and even server wey dem fit use do serious signal manipulation work (people dey try run am like dem dey run football match!). Na so dem catch Chinedu Nwaikwu, di company director, and Uche Kanu, wey be engineer for di transmission room. Dem carry di two plus 22 decoders wey dem dey use for transmission during di gory arrest.

Na im be say di court don put restraining order wey no allow Metrodigital and dem boss, Ifeanyi John Nwafor, enter or touch any DStv and GOtv channels until dem sort this matter out. Di EFCC go still report to court wit all di things wey dem recover as evidence for di next hearing.

But hold on… Wetin go happen next no dey clear. Di Metrodigital management don shout say dis attack na serious nonsense (them no wan hear!) as dem dey insist say di matter still dey court and no need for EFCC to enter wahala for civil issue. Ifeanyi Nwafor don talk say dem dey fight for their rights over Multichoice matter wey still dey Supreme Court.

The DG of Metrodigital vex say di EFCC don allow demself to be used by Multichoice wey just want make dem maintain monopoly for di broadcast market. Dem don even go to di extent of using tax payers money just to settle civil matter wey no suppose concern di EFCC! Na wetin we call ‘big man’ wahala!

Now, court don give order for next hearing on October 22, 2025, for plea and continuation of trial. Di public dey sit down look how this drama go end, as di matter dey show say e no go finish anytime soon. Na true say law no dey sleep, but this one wey concern broadcasting piracy dey very interesting!
