Zonal Director of EFCC for Enugu, Daniel Isei, talk say recent wahala wey dey come from new technologies and global financial systems don make the fight against illicit financial flows more complex.
During one workshop wey dem organize for media and CSOs, Isei abeg dem say EFCC no fit tackle all these challenges alone. Na teamwork, vigilance, and wahala-solving spirit dey important for this matter, no be only EFCC sabi get am (nobody sabi everything, even if dem fit shine their eyes).
He yarn say intelligence sharing na the key wey go unlock the door to success. According to Isei, “Information na power, and without am, we go dey waka blind.” He don push media and CSOs make dem no slack in sharing valid intel wey fit help EFCC dey effective for their duties. After all, na better information fit turn things around for good.
Dem go protect those wey fit provide credible information well-well, even sweet mouth talk say EFCC don strengthen dem mechanisms wey go ensure say whistleblowers dey safe. “By working together, sharing intelligence and coordinating our efforts, we fit close the gaps wey corrupt people dey use to chop our money,” Isei yarn.
