Edgar Marutlulle Confirmed as Head Coach of Vodacom Bulls for 2023 Currie Cup

Edgar Marutlulle is set to become the head coach of the Vodacom Bulls for the 85th season of South Africa’s top rugby division, the Currie Cup. Marutlulle has established a reputation as a winning coach within the junior rugby structures in Pretoria, most recently leading the U21 side to victory during their SA Rugby Cup title campaign.

Marutlulle is not new to the Currie Cup coaching team, as he formerly served as an assistant coach during the 2022 campaign.

He will be supported by Gert Smal, Hugo van As, and Sean Everitt.

The Pukke alumni will lead the defending champions, the Vodacom Bulls, during their first game against the Pumas on March 12 at Loftus Versfeld.
