EcoFlow officially launches in SA with three new portable power stations
Models equipped with South African plug points
EcoFlow has officially launched in South Africa, offering customers its range of portable power stations now equipped with South African plug points. The brand, which was previously only available in the country through distributors offering international plug points, has released three new models. It also plans to open a new office in Waterfall City, Gauteng, providing a support channel for customers. Its newly-released range includes the River 2, the River 2 Max and the high-end Delta 2.
Lithium-ion phosphate batteries with high capacity
The portable power stations contain high-capacity lithium-ion phosphate batteries that can last for up to 3,000 full charge cycles before hitting 80% of their capacity. The power stations have four USB-A ports, two of which have fast-charging capabilities, two 100W USB-C fast-charging ports, two three-pin plug points, two two-pin plugs and a 12V car charging port. The units support Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connections and can connect to an app on a paired device. The units also offer various options for recharging, such as by using a wall socket, a car’s 12V connector, or with separate solar panels.
Fastest charging speed in the industry
EcoFlow claims that the Delta 2 series and River 2 series offer the “fastest charging speed in the industry”. The power stations can be fully recharged to 100% in under two hours, using its X-Stream fast-charging capabilities. The LCD screen gives accurate estimates of when the battery will be charged to 100%, which makes it ideal for stage six rolling blackouts, ensuring that it can be fully charged before the next blackout.
User-friendly app with useful features
The app can be linked to the Delta 2 unit, and it is straightforward to use. It is useful when monitoring stats, and providing more detailed info when linked to a DB board, such as providing power from the grid or backup power. The app also has useful features such as adjusting the max 1,200W charging speed and calculating how long it will take to recharge if reduced. It also allows users to adjust the car input from 4/6/8A and choose a charge and discharge level.
Five-year warranty
EcoFlow offers a five-year warranty on the power units giving consumers peace of mind. The Delta 2 unit can be purchased directly on the EcoFlow website.
