Ebeano supermarket fire: group sympathizes with owner and traders for loss

By Ikenna Osuoha

Leadership Development and Change Initiative (ILDC), a non-governmental organization, joined on Tuesday with Mr. David Ojei, owner of Prince Ebeano supermarket, and traders whose stores were destroyed by fire.

The Nigeria News Agency (NAN) reports that the popular Prince Ebeano supermarket in the Lokogoma district of Abuja was razed to the ground on Sunday July 18.

ILDC deputy national coordinator Mr. Frank Ebere-Njoku, who expressed his compassion to the victims on behalf of the group, told the Nigeria News Agency (NAN) in Abuja that the fire was tragic.

Ebere-Njoku urged the supermarket owner and traders to find solace in God for the millions of naira of goods lost in hell.

“I console all those affected by the fire in particular, Mr. David Ojei and other traders and pray to God for the courage to endure the loss.

“It is surprising that the cause of the fire is still not established, but I nevertheless urged all those who have lost one thing or another to move forward with faith and hope,” he said.

The ILDC deputy coordinator said hell was a big blow to the economy.

According to him, hell is capable of putting some people out of work because of the extent of the damage caused.

Ebere-Njoku, who described the Ebeano supermarket market as an economic hub in Abuja, said the owner is a selfless and patriotic Nigerian.

He also congratulated Muslims on the celebration of Eid-al-Kabir, urging them to be aware of the safety in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic. (NAA)
