Driver, 23, docked for allegedly killing man in Ibadan

A 23-year-old driver, Habib Gbadamosi, was on Tuesday docked before an Iyaganku Chief Magistrates’ Court sitting in Ibadan for allegedly causing the death of a 55-year-old man.
 

Gbadamosi whose home address was not presented was docked on a count charge of reckless driving; causing death.
 

The defendant, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge.

Adesanya  asked the court to admit his client to bail on liberal terms.
 

The Chief Magistrate, Mrs Munirat Giwa -Babalola, granted the defendant bail in the sum of N1 million, with one surety in like sum.
 

Babalola adjourned the case until Nov.14, for hearing.
 

The Prosecution Counsel, Insp. Olufemi Omilana told the court that Gbadamosi on July 30, being the driver in charge of one Lexus Saloon car marked: AKD 808 HG allegedly drove it on public highway in a dangerous and reckless manner.
 

Omilana said Gbadamosi allegedly committed the offence on July 30 about 7:00 a.

m. at Poly Junction on Sango Road, Ibadan,
 
He said the defendant allegedly having no regard to all circumstances of other road users caused the death of l Oladosu of Surulere area, Sango, Ibadan.
 

He said the offence contravened Section 3 (E) of Road Traffic Act, Vol. II, Cap 142 of Oyo State, 2000.
