Edwards, the current number one seed, defeated Mary TenuMicheal 6-1 6-2.

 

Quadri, seeded number three, beat Blessing Omotayo 6-3 6-1 while seeded number two Aiyegbusi hit Toyin Asogba 6-1 6-2.

 

Other players who qualified for the quarter finals are Favour Moses who defeated Bunni Are 6-2 6-1.

Ohunene Yakubu defeated Osareimen Airhunwunde 6-5 and retired before the second set.

Stella Udokwelu mauled Omotayo Osewsa 6-0 6-4 while Omolayo Bamidele beat Chidinma Eze 6-2 7-5.
