Meanwhile, for JAMB matter wey dey vex candidates, di Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board don admit say dem get technical errors wey affect di 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) results. Di registrar, Professor Is-haq Oloyede, don apologize to candidates, admitting responsibility for di mix-up.
“I appeal to di candidates and those affected by di error of our system to accept dis explanation as di truth without embellishment. We don start investigation because we take di complaints seriously,” Oloyede talk during di press conference.
Di registrar explain say di issue come from faulty server updates wey disrupt di uploading of candidates’ responses during di first three days of di UTME. After investigation, dem find say di glitch affect 379,997 candidates across 65 centres for Lagos and 92 centres for di South-East.
Di rescheduled exams go happen between May 16 and May 18, and candidates go receive notifications through text messages and emails about di new exam dates. JAMB dey work with WAEC to ensure no clash for di exam timetable.
“We dey committed to transparency and we promise say we go implement measures to prevent dis kain mistake from happening again,” Oloyede conclude.
