This sharp reduction no just dey happen by mistake o, e come as Dangote dey increase im petrol production capacity. Dem dey aim to reach 1.4 million barrels per day, and if dem achieve am, na dem go carry trophy for world largest refinery, chop Jamnagar refinery for India. Na serious competition wey dey happen for here!
As of now, Dangote refinery dey load over 45 million litres of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) and 25 million litres of diesel daily, that one don they pass Nigeria demand. Dem sabi get supply plenty pass the people wey wan buy am. (Chai! If only dem fit feed us like this!)
Wale Tinubu of Oando Plc don talk say dem don put petrol imports for hold because of the plenty petrol wey Dangote dey supply. E mean say Oando wan cool down small, make dem no go stress the imports wey dey affect dem revenue. Now, Dangote dey hook up with regulatory agencies to make sure say everybody go get their share without wahala. Na so beta supply chain dey work, abi?
This new price cut dey do something wey dey sweet people well-well. Fuel price don dey weigh heavy for pesin pocket, but this one go help ease the burden small-small (everybody dey reason am!). As the price reduce, transport cost fit follow suit and everybody go dey smile as dem no go need pay plenty money to waka around town.
Plus, as Dangote dey produce plenty fuel, Nigeria dey wade through international oil market wahala better pass before. We no go dey rely on foreign imports as much again. Dis kind independence dey sweet! We dey work move towards more dependable energy source for our people, and now we fit dey talk say we dey aim for energy security. (And who no wan their country strong?)
Different companies dey feel the pressure from this new price wahala. Oando fit struggle small for now but as e be so, we dey see positive development for national self-reliance. For Nigeria to take the lead as major fuel suppliers, we go balance the equation well as we dey grow this local refining capacity.
The way Dangote dey run show for refinery, e no just dey talk am. Na serious matter, as e dey follow the market zig-zag to ensure everybody go benefit. E dey show say local production dey step up no more gisting.
