According to Gbadegesin, the Chairman of Lekki Estate Residents Association (LERA) don report unlawful waste dumping for Durosimi-Etti Street, Lekki Phase 1, early Saturday morning, May 18, 2025. Dem catch a white Ford van wey get Abuja registration plate GWA 136E for the act of indiscriminate waste disposal.
Dis van come trace back to DONALD Restaurant wey dey on Road 14 for the estate. The Chief Security Officer of LERA apprehend two suspects wey dey inside the van and carry dem go the LERA Secretariat.
Reports show say dem even try to bribe the estate security personnel with ₦100,000, but dem reject the offer firmly. LAWMA Monitoring and Compliance Team quickly show up for the location, carry the suspects and seal the restaurant.
Gbadegesin confirm say the closure happen because of gross environmental violations wey dey against Lagos State Environmental Management and Protection Law of 2017. E also talk say the suspects go face prosecution.
