Corps members of the Sustainable Development Goals Community Development Service Group (CDS) in Niger on Thursday donated food items to the Niger state Orphanage.
This was to help the children of the orphanage cushion the effect of COVID-19 lockdown imposed in the state.
Items donated to the orphanage includes: rice, gari, beans, cartons of noodles, milk, milo, custard powder, biscuits, sugar, toiletries and cash.
Ajayi, who was represented by Alhaji Isah Doko, Director, Niger state SDGs, extolled the thoughtfulness of the corps members for contributing to alleviate the hardship of the orphans.
“As you have touched the lives of these little ones, so shall God touch your lives,” she said.
Malam Husseini Aliyu, Director of the state Orphanage, who received the items, appreciated the corps members for their gesture, adding that the items would be used judiciously.
