Coronavirus – Eritrea: Announcement from the Ministry of Health (10th January 2022)

Consequently, the total number of recovered patients has risen to 7,993 while the number of deaths stands at 82.

ASMARA, Eritrea, January 10, 2022 / APO Group / –

Eighty-four patients have been diagnosed positive for COVID-19 in tests conducted today at the Quarantine Centers and Test Stations in the Central, South, South Red Sea and Anseba Regions.

Of these, seventy-seven patients are from Quarantine Centers (7) and Test Stations (70) in Asmara, Central Region. Four patients are from Test Stations in the South Region. Two patients are from test stations in Assab, southern Red Sea region. The latest patient is from Testing Station in the Anseba region.

On the other hand, thirty-two patients who have been receiving medical treatment in hospitals in the Central Region have fully recovered and have been discharged from these facilities.

Consequently, the total number of recovered patients has risen to 7,993, while the number of deaths stands at 82.

The total number of confirmed cases in the country to date has risen to 8,419.
