Congratulating President-Elect Tinubu: Osinbajo Urges Positive Change in Nigeria
Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has expressed his warmest congratulations to the flagbearer of the All Progressives Congress, His Excellency, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for his victory at the 2023 Presidential Elections and his declaration as President-Elect of Nigeria.
He further congratulated the Vice President-Elect, Senator Kashim Shettima.
Addressing the President-Elect, Osinbajo noted Tinubu’s fidelity to progressive and welfarist ideals and his ability to bridge several divides.
He recognized the strong desire of the younger generation to have a positive effect on democratic processes, despite any set-backs that may occur.
Osinbajo also expressed his hope that God will help Tinubu fulfill the mission of the APC and his call to improve the security and well-being of all Nigerians.
He then led the Federal Ministers in a congratulatory note to Tinubu and his wife, before attending the formal presentation of the INEC Certificates of Return to the President-Elect and Vice President-Elect.
The Vice President emphasized his belief that Tinubu will use his progressive thinking to help build a better Nigeria.
He called on all to remain focused on the goal of creating the society of their dreams, and urged them to not lose sight of this goal despite any difficulties that come their way.
