1 The National Council of Eritrean-Americans (NCEA) held its fourth conference from August 1-3 in Dallas under the theme “Building a Strong Nation Rooted in Grassroots Participation.”
2 The opening ceremony was highlighted by minutes of silence to commemorate Eritrean martyrs, the raising of Eritrean and US flags, as well as a discussion focused on the council’s diplomatic activities.
3 Commenting on the activities that the National Council of Eritrean-Americans has been carrying out, Mr. Berhane Gebrehiwet, Chargé d’Affaires of the Embassy of Eritrea, called for strengthening organizational capacity to achieve better results.
4 Mr. Yosuf Saiq, president of PFDJ in the central region, also held a seminar focusing on the objective situation in the motherland as well as regional developments.
5 Mr. Saleh Ahmedin, President of Eritrea National Union of Youth and Students also congratulated the fourth annual conference via virtual zoom from Eritrea.
6 On the occasion, Mr. Alazar Abraham, Mr. Abdlurahman Mohammed Nur, Dr. Mihreteab Gebrehiwet and Ms. Tsige Nemariam provided information on the Decades of Grassroots Movements.
7 According to the report, the conference was attended by more than 500 citizens from various areas of the United States.
