Mr Kennedy Osifo, Chairman, Edo State Oil and Gas Producing Area Development Commission (EDSOGPADEC), on Monday said the commission had constructed four Primary Healthcare Centres in three Edo communities.
Osifo said this while briefing the Edo House of Assembly Committee on Oil and Gas on the commission’s 2019 budget performance and the defence of its 2020 budget estimates.
The communities, he said, are in Orhionmwon, Ikpoba-Okha, and Ovia Local Government Areas of the state.
Osifo also stated that the primary healthcare centres were constructed to specifications of the World Health Organisation (WHO).
According to him, the commission has 14 ongoing projects in different communities in the three local government areas.
The Chairman of the committee, Mr Henry Okhuarobo, however, commended the 2019 budget performance in spite of the dwindling resources in the state.
Okhuarobo advised the commission to explore more areas of opportunities to meet the yearning and aspirations of the people.(NAN )
