This wahala start after social media influencer Scott Iguma post viral video wey claim say Lagos na smelling city wey get ‘big mosquitoes’.
In response, Wahab fire back, say some people wey dey come Lagos from other states dey try spoil the state’s name. E accuse dem say dem dey use social media to spread negative stories wey fit affect the image and progress of Lagos.
Acapella no wan hear am, e come call Wahab out for wetin e describe as double standards based on ethnicity and origin. Dis matter don lead to plenty argument for social media as Comedian Acapella and supporters of the Lagos government dey throw punches online.
For him X handle on Tuesday, Acapella share say e don receive threats during this period. E write, “Over the past days, as expected, I don receive several DMs and a few calls making empty threats here and there. But let me make it clear, no Nigerian is more Nigerian than any other Nigerian. No allow anybody gaslight you into believing say you dey demarket the country, especially when you dey point out the problems wey dey affect us as a nation.”
Acapella dey insist say the first step to solve any problem na to identify say e dey happen. E conclude, “We are all we have. I hope say with these few points of mine, I rest my case for now.”
