Cleric tasks women on inculcating good morals in children, society

By Bridget Ikyado

The wife of the founder of the House of Truth (HOT) Abuja Church, Pastor Boladale Adeyinka, on Sunday advised Christian women on the moral and proper education of their children in godly ways.

She said that a better society would change if women listened to her advice.

Ms. Adeyinka advised Sunday at the Church’s Women of Virtue Convention 2021 with the theme: “Woman Ruled by the Spirit”.

She said counseling has become imperative given the critical position women hold in families and in society at large.

She noted that society would be better if parents and guardians, especially mothers, insure and educate their children in morality, adding that God is always happy with parents who have godly educated their children.

The cleric advised women to endow themselves with the word of God to enable them to overcome the challenges of life.

“For women to promote positive change in their families and in society at large, they must remain faithful and stick to the teachings of the Holy Bible,” she said.

Ms. Adeyinka urged all spiritual women to lead exemplary lives by avoiding negative acts so that their children and others can imitate them.

She called on Christian mothers and other Nigerians to be law-abiding, to respect established authority, to live in peace and to tolerate each other regardless of their ethnic, religious or political affiliations.

““ A woman ruled by a spirit is a gift to her marriage and to society; it must influence positive changes in society; when she leads, the nation will rejoice and there will be lasting peace because she even influences the male to imbue himself with good behavior.

“The convention seeks to provide more women led by the spirit. We had Esther, Ruth and Deborah among other women in the Bible.

“As we aim to achieve this goal, the nation will be free from chaos, hunger and negative vices,” she argued.

The guest speaker at the convention, Pastor Anne Gambo, spoke on the theme: “Led by the Spirit.

She advised women to view Jesus Christ as the only solution to all challenges in their lives.

She took her scriptures from the book of Romans 8:14 – “To all who are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons and daughters of God. “

Gambo called on women to live Christ-like lives, adding that being guided by the spirit helps prevent evils in society so that there is peace and growth.

She advised women to always act according to the word of God in their hearts for the best of the nation’s development.

“A woman led by a spirit has a heart of gold; his words and his actions heal, ”she said.

She also took a message from 1 Thessalonians 5:21 – “Test all things; only hold back what is good. ”

Deaconess Bukola Adewumi, who attended the convention, said the program was for women to thank God for his faithfulness to them as the Church sought peace in the country, which was achieved through fervent prayers. .

She requested the support and prayers of all to enable Nigeria to move to its promised land of peace, progress, unity and national development.
