– The 25th five-day Tirana Book Fair ended here on Sunday, with some 90 publishers participating in the fair.
Also on display were books covering China‘s politics, economy, culture and education, attracting a large number of readers to visit and buy them.
During the book fair, the launch of the 2020 Albanian version of China’s Battle Against Coronavirus: A Daily Record from January 23 to February 23, 2020 was also held.
The book, originally published by China’s Foreign Languages Press, was translated and published by Albania’s Fan Noli publishing house.
Chinese Ambassador to Albania Zhou Ding said the book tells stories of the Chinese people fighting the COVID-19 pandemic on the front lines in early 2020 and demonstrates the fearless spirit of the Chinese people to unite and overcome difficulties together.
Zhou said that in recent years, Fan Noli has translated and published more than 40 books in Chinese, covering various fields such as politics, economics and culture, and effectively promoted cultural exchanges between China and Albania.
“I hope to see more excellent Chinese books published for Albanian readers and I hope Albanian friends can better understand a real China through more reading,” he said. ■
