Children’s Day: NGO tasks FG, States on quality education

The Centre for Media Advocacy for Mother and Child (CAMAC), an NGO, has called on governments at all levels to invest in the future of children by improving children’s access to quality and affordable education. The Executive Director of the NGO, Mr Alex Uangbaoje, made the appeal in a statement in Kaduna on Wednesday in commemoration of the 2020 Children’s Day. Uangbaoje said that children constituted 42 per cent of the country’s population, adding that one third of children between six and 14 years of age are not in school.
