Chelsea are reportedly willing to offer Christian Pulisic to Napoli in exchange for striker Victor Osimhen in an audacious player-plus-cash transfer. The 24-year-old Pulisic has been one of the standout players in Europe this season where he has spearheaded his side to the top of the Serie A table. His 21 top-flight goals have helped the Naples outfit go 19 points clear with the club on course to secure their first title since 1990.

Not only has Osimhen fired Napoli into the quarter-finals of the Champions League, but they also have a favourable route into reaching the final on June 10. As well as Chelsea, Arsenal, and Manchester United have also been linked with the Nigeria international.

Offering Pulisic as bait

Calciomercato reports that Chelsea are looking to steal a march on their Premier League rivals by offering American winger Pulisic. The 24-year-old Pulisic could be used as bait by Chelsea, with owner Todd Boehly to also offer Napoli money, but the report fails to mention how much Chelsea would be prepared to hand over along with serving up Pulisic.

Chelsea are determined to prise Osimhen away from Italy after identifying him as the ‘right profile’ to lead their line. Osimhen has made it no secret that he intends to play in England in the future after stating it is his ‘dream.’
