Chelsea vs Real Madrid in Champions League Quarter-Finals

Quarter-Finals Drawn

Chelsea will play holders Real Madrid in the quarter-final stage of the Champions League, with the winners set to face either Premier League champions Manchester City or six-time winners Bayern Munich for a place in the final. Inter Milan face Benfica and AC Milan take on Serie A leaders Napoli in the other half of the draw. Manchester United were drawn against Sevilla in the Europa League.

West Ham Drawn Against Gent

West Ham have been drawn against Gent of Belgium, and will play at home in the second-leg. Fiorentina have already defeated British opposition in the Conference League this season, beating Heart of Midlothian 5-1 and 3-0. They cannot meet West Ham before the final due to being on separate sides of the draw. They first face Lech Poznan, who sit third place in the Polish league this season, 19 points behind leaders Rakow Czestochowa. West Ham can be said to have done well out of the drawer, however a potential Belgian derby is on the cards between Gent and Anderlecht if things go differently.

Other Europa League Draw Results

Basel take on Jim Ratcliffe’s French club Nice. West Ham travel to Gent with the second-leg in London! Belgian side out the hat! One of the favourites out of the hat already! The Polish side are the first name out! If Union Saint-Gilloise and Anderlecht are both drawn at home or away, the draw will be reversed so they play at different times, as they share a stadium. Union Saint-Gilloise have priority.
