Leclerc not happy after P7 finish at Australian Grand Prix

Charles Leclerc was not pleased after a lacklustre performance in qualifying for the Australian Grand Prix. The Ferrari driver referred to his lap as a “s**t lap” and sarcastically thanked his teammate Carlos Sainz for a supposed tow, although it had been Sainz slowing Leclerc down.

Sainz qualifies P5, Leclerc in P7

Ferrari had shown pace in earlier qualifying sessions, but fell behind the competition at the Albert Park circuit. Although Sainz managed to qualify in fifth place, Leclerc was a tenth slower and two places behind him.

Leclerc speaks to media

Leclerc was less than pleased, letting his team know about his disappointment over the radio, and later speaking to the media to voice his frustration. He explained that his main issues were with the supplies provided by his team, saying that he had no preparation or fuel left for a second lap. Leclerc finished in P7, and was disappointed with the result, as he was on pole last year.
