Car sales in Russia to fall 7-10 pct in 2020
Sales of new passenger cars in Russia are expected to decrease by 7 percent-10 percent year on year in 2020, according to data presented by the country’s Autostat analytic agency on Wednesday.
In the optimistic scenario, 1.45 million cars are estimated to be sold this year, said Viktor Pushkarev, head of projects at Autostat.
He predicted a decline of 5 percent to 6 percent next year, when 1.35 million cars may be sold.
But the sales could grow by 5 percent or contract by 12 percent next year in extreme conditions, he added.
